About
Founder Vangel Rizos, grew up on a Farm in Fulham Gardens, lived in an asbestos farmhouse for his first 11 years, and went to Henley High School. With his entrepreneurial flair, owned many companies and businesses, his effective problem solving, innovation, research into homelessness, believes the problem can be fixed within 24 months of raising donations enough to satisfy the funding needed to house the homeless.
Vangel is the very experienced in public housing because he has lived in a public housing unit in Woodville North since 2020, before that he was homeless for a few months, and understands the struggle, and the setbacks that can happen to anyone.
How he became homeless is similar to many homeless people. In 2020, during a divorce settlement, being forced to sell his house and businesses by a financial institution, because of covid downturn in his business during covid, Vangel had a heart attack and then emergency quadruple open heart surgery at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. After Surgery, and at the time of being released from Hospital, his businesses and house was handed over to the new owners and his household items were put in storage. During this time, he was looking for a rental however he was to sick and weak to drive, and doctors did not clear him to drive for the normal 6 weeks after his heart surgery. Attending open inspections for rentals was not possible, even though he attended some open inspections by Taxi, he was not considered to be a worthy tenant for private rentals because at the time, he had no employment, no income, no rental history, old and sick. Due to the rental crisis, every rental he went to already had 50 applicants, who had secure jobs and rental history. For the next few months, he was homeless and lived out of his car, moving from hotel to hotels, Air BNB and other short-term accommodation, anywhere he could find short-term rental, till he could find a long-term rental.
With the aid of social workers at the Hospital, he was given a community housing rental unit, at Woodville North, which he was extremely happy with, and where he still lives now. He knows how your own home, can be the happiest part of your life. He would like to " Give Back " and help all other homeless people into their own house as quickly as possible, because he believes in this lucky, smart country with so much land, no one should be homeless.
Our committee has experience in charities, philanthropic societies, business, multi-site property development, personal development, finance, social support services, the health system, fund raising, property management, importing, marketing, management, PR, HR, building design, property sales and property management, construction, engineering, design, town planning, community and government services. We have put together this Need Homes system, to eliminate Homelessness for the most vulnerable as our number one priority.
" Long term Homelessness is out of control, and I can see that the other current systems in place will not eliminate homelessness, even in 10 years' time."
We have all seen the homelessness problem from media news, and firsthand with people sleeping on the street and in cars, it's been going on for over 20 years. It's time for more private organizations to help sort out the problem of homelessness, for the society that has helped them become wealthy and successful.
Once every homeless is housed, we hope the other housing services will catch up on the supply of permanent normal housing construction. Donations and sponsors funds can be made through this web site or through our registered fundraising agents, so we can set up our low rent temporary houses for the homeless.
We will keep housing the homeless, till the most vulnerable tenants can find a better alternative.
